Using Hand Test Weights The laws on crane safety require testing on all lifting gear that is designed to carry people at least every 6 months. For passenger lifts in public spaces it isn’t convenient or practical to use our range of slab weights to carry out tests. That’s why we have a range of hand test weights that can easily be carried by one person – even if they are walking up stairs. You may also want to hire our hand weights if you have a goods lift to be tested. Or if you have any other lifting solution that would make other types of weights unpractical. Hiring Test Weights Our cast iron hand weights are 20k.g. each. With a handle for easy lifting and transportation, they are simple to use and produce excellent results. They can be hired individually, or if you need a substantial quantity, we can provide the weights in a cradle that has been filled to reach your required load. Our hand test weights are subject to a minimum hire of £35 a day – but at just £1 plus VAT per day for a 1 off weight, they are an affordable solution that can be easily adapted to suit your testing needs.
